HK e-CAR`s proud Event data recorder, so-called auto black box, records all detailed data related to vehicle accidents while driving, and provides ample justification for you having used HK e-CAR`s event data recorders if necessary. The Event data recorder certificated under Korean New Technology Mark(NT mark), was invented to record, store and analyze vehicle operation data.
Based on this data, this device will be very helpful for drivers to get into safe driving habits as they can analyze their driving habits or performance. |

Started from the 1st joint venture company between Hyundai, and Kia motors, HK e-CAR Inc.
is the 1st Korean company developed and succeeded in customizing vehicular black box, so-called Event Data Recorder.
HK e-CAR`s Event Data Recorder has 4 following main functions.
|
1. Automatic Accident Recognition Function
 All collision situation including frontal, back, left, and right collision, can be detected.
The difference between the actual collision and similar collision situation
can be distinguishable.
2. Vehicle Traveling Data Recording function
Recording Hours driven, Distance traveled, Max Vehicle speed, Average Vehicle speed, Harsh acceleration, brake, times of traveling, State of Over speed per hour, Idling, Lightning status while driving(head & tail lamps), dangerous driving, etc.
Giving a great contribution to accident prevention and making a safe driving behavior.
3. Analyzing function of recorded data
Analyzes main impact data such as impact intensity, Vehicle impact angle and vehicle
Impact speed, etc.
Graphically reconstructed and displayed with video images to analyze all mechanical and human performance related to data before, and during a crash, such as lateral & longitudinal velocity, steering angle, yaw rate, vehicle trajectory, vehicle roll angle, etc.
4. Other
Modular Event Data Recorder with automated car-crash notifying function, informs control center via wireless communications network (CDMA, GSM) of crash location and information automatically and thereby, enables mobilization of emergency service and traffic information service, depending on personal casualty and vehicular damaging degree. |

Hyundai Motors made a decision of installing HK e-CAR`s EDR in their
producing some types of light duty trucks, and express buses from 2006.
In North America, EDRs of North American type should be equipped with
from 2008.
European Community(EU) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking for eCall
installed in vehicles inside EU from 2009. |
